Gulf of Maine Historical Ecology Research (GOMHER) is a project lead by a team of Marine Ecologists. They are indexing every dam in the state of Maine (Maine has over 2000 dams!). With this data they are going to compare the Maine fish population over time versus the number of dams existing in Maine during specific time periods. This Web site contains the database off all the dams in Maine and plots there location on an interactive map. This Web site is still under construction.
